Well, SVS has arrived in Canada, and I am happy to announce that my future choice in getting the EP500 has not been changed.

To break it down, to purchase and ship a 20-39 PC+ sub from SVS to Alberta would cost $1,264.26 CAD with Taxes & shipping. The only advantage that the 20-39 has over the EP500 would probably be floor space and the ability to change its tuning (which i really could care less about that aspect).

The EP500 on the other hand, if ordered from the Factory Outlet is $1215.00, if ordered with an additional 4 other items, it comes to $1154.00 ($1223 with GST 6%). WOW!

SVS is charging PST as well for sales to Alberta which is kind of wierd, not sure if Axiom charges PST to Alberta. In any case, the EP500 will def. be the choice for me when I decide to get one. I have always prefered the EP500, but when its cheaper than my other choice, it makes it that much easier to decide.

PS: I have looked for reviews comparing the 2 subs, but I have not found any, I am assuming that the EP500 will be the best of both HT and music moreso than the 20-39 PC+.

Hi Hutz;

To answer your question, we only charge GST to Alberta.

Best,

I have the EP500 in a 2500 ft3 room that opens into the rest of the house.

I have it turned WAAAAAY down-my AVR's auto setup turn it down even further.

The results? In movies my house literally shakes when something explodes. It's amazing.

I really hope its just somebody at SVS that is unaware that they do not need to charge PST to us Albertans, otherwise where would that PST go? Their own pockets.
