My subwoofer isn't working again. Maybe one of you can think of something I haven't thought of. I was recalibrating levels after changing some speaker placement slightly, and that's when I noticed there was nothing coming from my subwoofer. I checked the back to find the power light off. I went through the fuses. After replacing the second fuse down, the green light would come on again. Unfortunately, I still couldn't get any sound out of it. I made sure the subwoofer was on in the setup. It was. I tried using the RCA connection instead of the XLR. Still nothing. I tried hooking up another channel's output to the sub. Still nothing.

One thing I noticed is that I can set the trim to LOAD, and the light remains green, despite the manual saying it will turn amber. Does this mean anything?

Oh, and yes, I've adjusted the volume knob, too.

I know my subwoofer was working the other day, as I had been playing with the Audyssey auto-calibration.

I can't figure out what the problem could be. Any ideas?

This won't help you much, but the light does not change to amber on my 500 either whenever the manual it would.

My light doesn't change to amber either. Axiom may be able to walk you through to wake it up but I have a suspicion your config has been toasted \:\( . If so, Axiom will most likely have to send you a new amp.

That's what I was afraid of. I'll have to call them. Thanks!

If it is the DSP program, they may have a way to update it via USB. As Mojo said, I would call them.

Wellll, I hadn't gotten around to giving them a call. I'm kind of sick right now, so my voice is a bit faint and hoarse. So I asked my dad if he would call Axiom for me, and he brought his multimeter, just because he likes figuring stuff out. Well, another one of the fuses was bad, despite the green light coming on. We replaced that, and the subwoofer is working now.

Duh.

What about college food enemas?

Ramen noodles and pizza for a week does interesting things to the digestive system. ;\)
