I was reading that some pipe organs go down to 16hz, I was wondering if the axiom EP600 can handle that deep of pipe organ sound?

That's right Larry, a fair number of very large organs exist which can do 16Hz(there're a couple monsters that hit 8Hz), and the EP600 can indeed handle it(see graph ). The basic principle is that an open pipe resonates at a fundamental frequency of the speed of sound divided by twice its length, so a 16Hz fundamental requires a pipe about 32' long.

If you're interested, there are quite a few pipe organ recordings that can give subs a real workout, and lists of recommendations are available on line.

To add further to John's point, the EP600 also reproduces pipe resonances faithfully as higher harmonics. It very linear reponse right up to 100hz adds greatly to that realistic air and sense of space.

I'd love to feel a pipe organ that could do 8 Hz.

That's what she said?

That may be the best use of that cliché I've ever witnessed. \:\)

You're just jealous you didn't think of it first. ;\)

I might have, but when I read the thread, the reply was already there. \:\(
