A good read over at audioholics:

Quite lengthy but lots of good information.

Nice gratuitous Segway placement in that first pic.

Maybe he's a supervisor and it's a really big store?

Ok, take the picture. No, wait! I gotta get my Segway in the shot so everyone will see what a cool guy I am!

Good thing he spent some time in the tanning salon before hopping on the segway. Is that Clint DeBoer??

My 3 ft monoprice cables work great!!

I put a 30 foot monoprice in at my Dad's place and it passes 1080p perfectly.

I think it is one of the "spray on" tanning salons

His dads place is a spray on tanning salon?

While researching a question about HDMI cables, I happened to run into a reference to this CBC TV "expose" on cable sales practices. It's about nine minutes long and if you have the time has some informative, and also amusing(note the comment of the Best Buy salesman relating to his "inexpensive" $40 cable)content.

Excellent link JohnK. Even when confronted with the facts the sales guy is still pitching the Monster line, what a jack..s

I use HDMI port-savers from Monoprice to connect the rather stiff BJC Series-1 cables securely without harming the ports. Just heard about this new HDMI interconnect. Anyone used these yet?

Well, someone at the AVS forums recently bought these locking HDMI cables and had this to say:

"I finally received these "locking" cables. They are very hit and miss. For the most part, I would say they do not "catch" the way they are advertised. The 'Port-Savers" are your best option. Hope this helps."
