just hook my newly bought Behringer EP2500 on my M22, what a difference!

My QS8 were left alone on the AVR. Even them, were playing like never before.

The difference is huge in any way. Can't wait to try the setup when the other speakers arrives. The Qs8 will probably sound less powerful when I hook the whole 5 (4xqs8+vp150) speakers on the AVR..

Was worth the 400$ CDN (tx included)

wow wow wow

It's like getting a new pair of speakers. The drivers on my M22 were barely moving, now they're dancing like crazy.

Nice LucRaymond! Congrats on the purchase. I'm thinking of replacing my emo RPA-2 with a pro-amp. I have been looking at the QSC PLX series or the lower cost RMX series.

Been reading about the tremendous difference, might be worth the fan noise, do you notice any fan noise with your behringer?

The noise coming from the fan is equal to the xbox 360.

There are a few threads suggesting to replace the fan:

http://www.hometheatershack.com/forums/diy-subwoofers/3658-quieter-fan-mod-behringer-ep2500.html

Once you crank up the sound a little bit, it's very hard to hear it. You would hear it when switching tracks on audio CD.

The Behringer ep2500 looks like a clone of the QSC RMX2450. It's a steal for the price. They have a fan less alternative, the A500, which is less powerful.

Nice...my xbox 360 fan doesn't bother me at all. That's good to know. Thanks for those links too!

A contact in Montreal, met him on kijiji.ca! He buys audio stuff in lot to get discounts. They are available also on AxeMusic, it's a canadian site, at 439$ (379$ for ep1500).

If you're near Montreal, I can give you his name and phone..

I'm a down the road just a little: Kitchener.

I'm glad you are happy with the amp.

wow.. That's pretty nice...

Thanks for the info on the Behringer, Luc, they seem to be one of the best bang-per-$$. I would also suggest to anyone looking for a pro-amp for their system in Canada, to check out some Mackie FRS amps at L.A.Music in Mississauga(Ont). They look like they're on a good deal right now.

Must...restrain...amp...envy...

The thread is a year old, so that's "stale" envy, Tom.

Hey, lucky123 and Adrian did the thread revival - I was just like, you know, stream-of-consciousness or whatever, man.

You tell'em Tom!

actually, I never even noticed the thread was a year old until Mark mentioned it.

Nor did I.

Hey look! A new thread about amps...

It looks like the EP2500 is discontinued. How would you think it compares to the EPX2000? I see the EPX2000 is available for $319 shipped in the US, and I am seriously considering it for the M80s.

Well since ol Luc hasn't posted anything here since January, it may be a minute before you get your answer.

Digging up this thread was a sick joke indeed!

You might want to look at the new EP4000 as well. Lots more power @ $299.00 us (but heavier)...
