Picked one up silly cheap. I wanted to try out that Dolby PLIIz upper L/R thing. It's heavy - a bit more than 50 lbs. The manual is like the Manhattan White Pages. I don't know if I'll have a chance to set it up before New Year.

Anyone know anything about these 1007s?

Thx

Well I'll post my impressions this weeend after I finish the set up. Frys blew these out for $499 and display items with cosmetic issues for significantly less. This unit has front left\right outputs but also outside front l r and upper front l r. ... 11 speakers & 2 sub pre outs. Zowie.

You can't run the front height or wide channels at the same time so really still only 9.2

Oh, that's too bad. If you could, then Axiom should sell these things from their on-line store.

we could have M22 outside fronts, M80s front L/R, and QS8 upper front L/R. That's a lot of speakers.

I beleive the 5007 is capable of running the 11.2 config.

That's a lot of speakers. 11.2, that should sound very big.

Nice find, 2x6. I've been well pleased with the Onkyo 805 I bought a few years ago. I'm trying to NOT listen to all of you about the potential benefits of more channels and 32 bit Audyssey and such. Have fun.
