I am using a Creative Inspire T6200 for my PC. Is it possible to add one more subwoofer to this 5.1? I have a philips 110 watts subwoofer at 6 ohms(unassembled) and a 6ohm amplifier at my hand.

My friend told me to split the 3.5mm audio pin of center\subwoofer jack that goes to 5.1 into two and connect one to amplifier and to connect the sub woofer to the amplifier.

Is his opinion right?

Please help me...

Welcome to the forum.

If I am reading this right, you should be able to simply hook the sub up to the output from the PC and not even use the amp as the sub has a built in amp already.
