Moved to a new house with HT. Smaller room than I had. Has speaker wiring in 4 corners ceiling height. Center and front near floor under screen.
Have following speakers to setup in here.
2 M80's
4 QS8's
1VP150
1 SVS sub
I am really wondering about the surrounds as I had 2 at normal seating depth and 2 in the back. Do not think 2 in front would be good, but if I put them in middle I would need to do some wiring. The room is small enough I wonder if it really matters that much. I could easily put the one surround above where all the equipment goes on the left side, but the right would require some wiring work that might be a hassle. Just wondering what my options are. Have not been on here in ages. The VP 180 looks nice. Have not even thought about seating yet, but thinking i could only have 1 row of 4. Not sure if I have enough depth for 2 rows of 3 which is what I would prefer

Joe, welcome back. The QS8 back surrounds should be near the back corners and maybe 2' down from the ceiling. If you meant possibly using the front corner wiring for the other QS8s, that wouldn't suit their purpose. They're side surrounds and should be about directly to the side of the listening position, as you apparently have them now. So placing the one on the left near the equipment wouldn't be a problem. Could you also run the right side surround wiring from there across the room under the carpet(if there is one)and then a few feet up the wall? Or, take the right front corner wiring and extend it back along the ceiling and down a couple feet?

At the bottom of the picture, is that an entryway without a door on it? To me that would be a bigger problem. I would want some form of door there to keep out the light mainly, and the sound, if possible.

I'm also assuming that the screen goes at the top of the picture. 6'10" is not big enough for a decent sized screen. I thing you would want a minimum of 9' up to 12' of screen, especially if you went 2.40 aspect ratio (which I prefer, but some don't). That back wall sure looks like a good place to place speakers and use an acoustically transparent screen.

The theater is already there and complete. Just trying to figure out what to do with it. There is a 92" screen in that 6'10" space I have there already. Yes, the entryway has no door and I may do something with that but just want to figure out how best to put my stuff in there first. I can get it really dark even without a door there though so light is not that big of a problem. Sound would be a bigger issue though. The wall with the screen and area behind it is currently a solid wall and I could change that. I am thinking it is best to just get my front surrounds to the middle sides of the room even though I will need to do some additional wiring. I think I can run behind the crown molding and that may not be too hard. The door and wall where the screen is I will look at once I get my audio equipment in the room and listen.

I second JohnK's suggestions.
