Hi fellow Axiomites.
Looking for some feedback from the experts. I can purchase a Marantz SR6006 for about $900 CDN. Was wondering what the concensus is regarding the Denon vs. Marantz?
Cheers,
Shaun

Shaun, there doesn't appear to be a good reason to go with the Marantz unless that price is substantially lower than you can find for the 3312. The 3312 is one step up from the Marantz 6000 series and corresponds more closely to the 7000 series in features and power.

They are both made by D&M Holdings, take what you will from that little tid bit.

I would compare which one has the better Audyssey version and go with that one, if money allows.

In the past (I'm pretty sure it's still the case) Marantz line cannot apply Audyssey to bitstreamed codecs. Denon can do it across the board. So if you like Audyssey room correction, Denon is a better choice.

If you do decide on the Marantz, make sure your model can update the FW online.
