Does anyone have any expearience with the spercube2. I am seriously thinking about buying one. I know alot of people recomend the HSU subs. I think they are ugly and therefore won't buy it. I'm sure they sound great but I can't get past that nasty black spackle finish. I'm using a paradigm pdr-12. I like it but I just want to feel the bass a little more, know what I mean. Thanks.

I had a Definitive Technology ProSub 10TL (10 inch). It was ok for home theater but in the upper bass it was very boomy. I haven't heard a supercube so I don't know how they perform in comparison. I heard a Boston Acoustics SW-10 (older model) and it's a great sub if you can find one cheap.

The newer Hsu subs don't have that "spackle" look any more. It's pretty much just a semi-glossy basic black. Before you completely give up on the idea of having one, you should see the new models in person. I'm pretty fussy about how speakers, etc look too, and the VTF-2 is pretty nice. Nothing beautiful, it's just a black box, but it doesn't stand out as ugly like their older models did.

I'm assuming the VTF-3 in Rosewood is out of your budget range? That sub's a beaut!

Second that (Gary's post). I have a DT 10 inch sub. OK for HT, but couldn't get it to work with music

That was my first sub too, so now I'm not too warm about the monitor-sub route, instead prefering full range towers, for 2 channel music.

if your looking to feel he bass a little more, and you like the sound of your paradigm, try adding another one to your system, maybe you have a local dealer that can let you try it at home,i have dual subs, huge improvements over single.IMO...good luck...ron

I second that about adding another sub. A friend of mine has two lower model bostons set up and it sounds amazing compared to most single sub setups I've heard.

I thought about adding another paradigm sub and it is ecconomical, however they are not the smallest subs in the world and would eat up alot of floor space. I also thought about stacking them one ontop of the other to save space, I don't know if this is optimal as far as placement goes.
Thats why I was considering the supercube 2. Nice and small with a huge amp. The price of the supercube two is the same as running two paradigm subs. I'm going to try to get to the dealer on wednesday, we will see what happens.
Anything else I should consider?

i dont know what your price limit is,but i personally am a big fan of velodyne.stay away from their circut city models, they have a SPL series you may want to check out,i think they have a small footprint with a big sound....good luck...ron
