Dear Ian, congrat for this wonderful site. Looking forward to purchasing axiom products. At this point, I am finalizing my research and i am down to two products, axiom is one of them. My room is 15x18x10 with large windows on three of the walls. I listen 50/50 music/ht. Just purchased denon avr 3802 and sunfire true sub mark ll. I am interested by the m60's with qs4 . Considering the amount of information processed in the centre channel and your comments that the m60's give the same sound reproduction as the m80's, would i gain anything by purchasing the vp 150 (other than the ability to play louder) over the vp 100? Would I be better off staying with the vp 100 and upgrading to the qs8?
Thanks

Both the VP100 and VP150 are perfectly timbre matched with the M60s. The VP150 will, however, give you a better overall up front sound stage with your system. I would recommend it. The QS8s would also be good with your system but if it is between the QS8s and the VP150, I think I would be tempted to go with the QS8s and the VP100.

Ian, I have a question.... You replied with this statement "Both the VP100 and VP150 are perfectly timbre matched with the M60s. The VP150 will, however, give you a better overall up front sound stage with your system." But I have posted questions that you replied to about comparing the M80's vs. M60's and you basically say that their is nothing to gain but overall output. How can the 150 be "better" than the 100 and the M80 "not be any better" than the M60. I don't want this to come across the wrong way! It just don't make sense to me. The M80 has more drivers, more cone surface area, high eff. rating?????? Explain it for the simple minded please! Thanks!

No problem, the VP150 has tweeters on the outside of the woofer array, whereas the VP100 has the tweeter in the center. This makes the VP150 image better from left to right. This difference does not exist between the M60 and M80.
