Hi. I'm building a new HT/Game Room and I don't know why the drywallers use 1" corrugated flexible tube all around my front setup. At least they put couple of them. Now I need to find some thin speaker cables in order to push them inside that small hole.

My question is... are 16-gauge speaker cables good enough? My longest run will be like 30 feet. Also I need some thin RCA for my 2 subs. Any suggestion? I need them to be thin but also to work properly.

Thanks.
Jose
The size of wire depends on ohm rating of your speakers. Here is the chart you should reference. You also need to use "in wall" cl2 rated wire. I would recommend Monoprice in wall, hard to beat.

Jose, as shown by the wire table in the Russell table which Randy linked, for even the longest 30' run to surrounds, 16ga wire should be plenty for the type speakers you'd use there. 100' of the CL2 rated wire from MonoPrice, as Randy also linked, would be a good buy.

Incidentally, if you haven't done so, besides the wire table, it'd be worthwhile to study the entire Russell speaker wire explanation. This has educated numerous listeners about the facts on this topic and helped them avoid the charlatans selling magic wires who pollute the audio industry.

As to coaxial cables with RCA plugs for your subs, I'd suggest the same cable I use with my EP500 from MonoPrice here . These are not too thick and are relatively flexible and do this simple job as well as it can be done.
Well, I see that Randy and John already took care of this. I'll mark the support ticket as closed on the Axiom Forum Auto Response Tracking System.

It's a shame to close the ticket when no upselling has been done yet.
