I currently have V3 of vp160 , m22 , and qs8. I want to switch to all on wall speakers now but the vp160 doesn't come in a on-wall version. Will i be losing out by going from a vp160 to a on wall vp150 ?

The sound quality will suffer a little by dropping from a VP160 to a VP150. And again, unfortunately, the sound quality will drop a little more by going from a full sized box speaker to the on-wall variety.

Been there, done that. But if on-wall is what you want/need at the moment, then by all means, go for it.

Edit: One option that I was able to do, that not many would have the room in their walls for, is I was able to mount a VP160 in-cabinet speaker flush with the wall under the TV. It's around 17 inches deep, I think. I got lucky and just happened to have a large cavity there, but had to move an air duct.

Yes , on walls will be better for my situation " for now " plus i want to get them in all white for my dark grey home theater. I just want to make sure that the vp150 isn't that bad of a center channel speaker. I've read the reviews and they are all good .

I owned the M22s, VP150 and QS8s and had the VP150 setup in three different houses over about 8 years. I really liked the M22s and QS8s, but found the VP150 was lacking in comparison. I think it must of been the compromised horizontal alignment of the drivers of the VP150. Now, I had version 2 speakers, so maybe the updates have fixed some of the things I didn't like. I was thinking about upgrading to the VP160 to improve things, but never got around to doing so.

I think that the VP160 is a better speaker design over the VP150. I am saying this simply from the standpoint that off axis response will be better in the VP160 (and not having heard it). Also, on wall speakers are also compromised designs compared to conventional speakers. I would think that this would be possibly a couple of steps down.

One possibility is that you may be able to use a M2 or M22 on wall rather than the VP150 on wall.

Ian, if it would fit the space you have available, I'd second the suggestion Nick made. Use a vertical on-wall M22 center which should be excellent, especially if you'll also be using M22s for the mains.

I've got in-wall M22's for left and right and an in-wall VP100 for the center, which is the horizontal version of the M22 (same drivers) and it is seamless panning left through right.

Many opinions here.

Mine are: I prefer the VP150 over the VP100, even if it isn't seamless. VP150 plays a bit louder and deeper. I've tried an M2 for center, and just didn't like it. Not enough low end and didn't seem loud enough, to me.

The off axis of the VP150 was never an issue to me since I normally sit near center anyway, so never noticed it.
