Hey, I was wondering how functional the QS8 was as a rear channel. Not that I'll need one, but I was just thinking with the QS8 being so well regarded and being quadpoler or whatever it would seem ideal to cover the entire back of the room. Does anyone do this? Am I evaluating the technology incorrectly? I would think you'd only need one of them right?

I use 3 Qs8's for my surrounds. My reciever is only 6.1 and my room is only 18 x 12. So it works really well for me. It may even be overkill. But I love the sound and would not think that a simple M2 would be able to produce the same quality of envelopment as the one QS8. So I would definitely recommend getting 3 QS8's.

By the way, when do you think you are going to be able to make the plunge and get some Axioms? I know you have been here asking questions for quite a while.

That's a good question. Originally this was all laying groundwork for the spring when we find and purchase or build a house. In the meanwhile I've of course got very excited about a lot of different pieces (we're talking ground up here) so it remains to be seen whether I can wait that long.

I have been hanging out here for a while and asking a fair amount of questions. I tend to always be this way when purchasing anything important. I despise buyer remorse and to be honest I enjoy the research and learning in some cases as much as the end product.

In the end I'm can't imagine not at least trying the Axioms. And considering the what I'd been using, I also find it unlikely I won't love them.
