I now have M-22s as my mains VP-100 center and a AR S108PSB sub. I'm thinking of getting a better sub ,but price is a concern.I would like to get a HSU but I would like to keep it under $300.00.Any suggestions ?
The Hsu STF-1 is $299 I believe. I'm not sure if they're shipping yet, though. Drop Dr. Hsu and email and find out.
If you want to upgrade, then upgrade. Just realize that the price of a good sub that you will be happy with may be more than $300. The Hsu STF-1 is probably the best $300 sub you can buy, but it is not going to go as deep as a STF-2 or VTF-2. If you get a $300 sub and aren't happy with it, and get the upgrade bug again, you are actually spending more money.
My advice...wait until you can stash an extra $100 in the cookie jar and get a Hsu STF-2.

CompUSA now sells the STF-2 and they have it at $350.00(though HSU will be having them fix that soon).
CompUSA also lists it as being 250 watts instead of 200. Any idea if that is an error or does CompuUSA have a different version?

It is an error as someone reported at the HSU forums.
Still no STF-2's in my area(Ohio).
Hey guys I just bought one and the price is $349.98 plus of course tax. They have a few left at the compusa that I went to and it was going fast.
Well I went and did it. I went to Compusa and got a SFT-2.I lucked out as it was the last one.My wife does'nt know it yet but she just bought my xmas gift.
Nice move.
Now the question remains, what are
you getting
her?
Get her the new Denon 5900 universal player. She'll love it!
Sounds too much like "Heads I win, tails you lose" to me...
You could get her a universal remote and explain how to run all your A/V stuff. My wife took a crash course and has it down.
