I'm looking for a t.v. to match my Axioms Ideally HDTV, 47" or more, $2000 CDN or less.

Mostly for progressive scan DVD watching
Hi Jordan,
Where are you located? If you are in Southern Ontario East Hamilton Radio has had some very good deals lately. There are quite a few dealers around here who show some flexibility in their pricing.

Panasonic PT-L300U.

Hi Saint,

I'm not familiar with Canadian pricing lately, but the best pictures I've seen in entry-level CRT rear-projection HDTVs in the US include the Hitachi 46-inch sets, Sony 46-inch, Panasonic 47-inch, and Toshiba 46-inch. These typically sell for around $1,500 US, which would make them about $2,000 Cdn.

In fact, there's a review of the Toshiba 46-inch set in the new issue (Feb/March) of Sound&Vision magazine, by a friend and video reviewer (Al Griffin) who is even more critical than I about video quality.

Regards,
Check Walmart for a Pioneer SD-533HD. It's the only set with better stretch modes than mine or Chess'. Buy it and enjoy.
