Hi, new to the forum and have a quick question for the experts before ordering. My situation is that we are going to be building a new home in a couple of weeks and the rec room where the Home theatre is going to be is 15' x 35'. The 7.1 speaker system I would like to order includes svs pc+20-29, m60s, vp150, 2 QS8 and 2 M22 for rear surrounds to go with a 57 toshiba hd monitor and 2400 yamaha receiver. My question is : Should I only utilize 25 feet or so and have my rear surrounds (m22) mounted from the ceiling 25 ft back from the m60s or mount on back wall close to 35 ft from the fronts. Also, what do you think of the speaker selection for this room?

Welcome, scuff. Fine choice of speakers(but that SVS will be a bit taller than 29")for your room. You can mount the M22s right on the rear wall, allowing at least 3" of breathing room for the rear port, and separated by about as much as your seating distance from them.

Are you using this for DVD-Audio or SACD?

My main use would be HT 95% However, I will likely use DVD-A in future as well. Would a smaller pair of M2s be more useful mounted from ceiling for rear sounds or would you guys utilize full length of room and go with M22 on rear wall?
