guess what I got from Fed Ex today

one 150

two QS8s

guess what i am running...just the 22s

They sound so good, in 2 channel stereo

I haven't even pulled the QS8s out of the boxes!!!

I put on Sirius 80's Hair band

had some Van Halen

Winger and Kiss

not bad for 10 minutes of amazing sound.

I'm not toally stoked on the stands the 24" from Axiom, and the finish isn't as pretty as i wanted

but the speakers themselves PERFORM and I cranked up my Sony quite a bit...the speaks didn't sweat one bit. And the sound at low...is pretty full.

I just hope my kid, my cat(s) my dog(s) don't bump the stands.

I believe the stands can be filled with sand. This might make them less likely to tip.

I threw a bunch of gravel down the tubes.

man...the stands are a pain to put together...but worth it! as long as stay put LOL

I'm considering the stands myself. Would you recommend them?

I just don't like the idea of having something nice and valuable on the edge of being able to fall.

I know it won't take but once for my dogs or cat or son to hit a stand...and oh can't think of it!!!!!

i wish they were totally secure....as to add to the problem, they just sit on top.

I think your best bet is to contact Axiom, they're quite honest about their products, and one of their stands may be better then the other....

I certainly don't want to take anything away from Axiom (except maybe a new pair of M60s... ), but when I bought my M22s two years ago, they were purchased from Audioshop in Ottawa. Marc also sold me a pair of Atlantis stands that were reasonably priced and have been perfect for the M22s. I don't think they carry Axiom or Atlantis products any more, but the Atlantis stands should be relatively easy to track down.

If you're concerned with the speakers falling off the stands, simply put four little pieces of Blue Tac (or any plumbers' putty) on each corner. This will hold them solidly on the stands, and since you've filled the stands, they should not be any more prone to toppling than a pair of M60.

i imagine the tac won't hurt the finish.

The gravel helped..but still...its just a scary thought

I did use those rubber sticky feet that came w/ the speakers.. I never liked these things.

The Tac will not harm the finish, as long as you are carefull if/when you want to remove it. Use a utility knife (razor blade type) to cut the tac off the stands, then roll the tac off with your fingures. Rubbing alcohol works well to remove the last little bits of the putty.

I've used this on many bookshelf speakers, and it holds so well to the stands that you will actually pick the stand up (even if sand filled) if you pull on the speaker.

Just as a side note, Axiom should consider doing as Paradigm has started with the new Studio and Signature series. The bookshelf speakers have threaded inserts in the four corners so they can be firmly secured to the custom stands.
