Gosh I feel like a salesman. I don't know if any are interesed, I was going to go the ebay route. But this seemed like maybe a better first choice. I have awards points for merchadise with my company. I have redeemed numerous idems, and there is nothing they have that really strikes me. I received the Yamaha rxv-1400, I love it. It was selected as the reciver of choice in the october 2004 (page 78) home theater magazine H.T. That audio companies put together with different budgets. this was in the 20,000 to 30,000 range 29,950, however alot of that money went into video, installation etc. I was going to just use the points and sell it. It comes direct from Yamaha, and they will ship to any address (don't know about Canada) You can see it at any sound advice 799.00 + tax. You can get it at a discount on-line place cheaper, I think around the lowest 645.00 + shipping. I would just have Yamaha ship it direct, so no shipping charges. it's included. I will send you pics of mine if you want, below is the actual link from the awards center. Anyhow, I hope it does not seem like I turning this into a flea market, but it's a good value for the right person in search of new receiver or maybe an upgrade. If this is of interest to anyone let me know. If this is the inapropriate place let me know where you do post something like this. You could pay by pay-pal, or mail a payment, I have a 100% feedback with 90 out of 90 feedbacks.

I think I'm interested. How much are you thinking of? I'm currently in the market for a new one and have been considering the Pioneer VSX-1014 Tx and a few others including this. Neither has a feature that I really want (IEEE 1394 support) but don't think any of these budget receivers currently have that.
$535.00 to your door, thats about 90.00 less than the cheapest on-line place I could find.
I think I'll pass on that, but thank you for the offer. I am not convinced that the 1400 is that much better than the 1014 (rebadged Elite 52Tx). I'm sure others on this forum will likely bite. Good luck.
