Okay. I'm in the US. No Axioms for sale in a store. I went and auditoned a couple or receivers. I have the M60s and we tested with a pair of B&W speakers from the 600 series. Is this a fair comparison? Some have said the 700 series. Which one?

Additionally...in a couple of months I'll be going back to this dealer to buy a reciever. I'll be bringing my Axioms. So let me know people. I can do some real life testing with Axioms vs. B&Ws for the speakers I'll be bringing. I'll probably test out both my M60s and my M2s. So let me know what to A/B with to the best of your knowledge.
After this I'll tell you what I think is the best receiver, and who wins the speaker war.

Again...all my opinion...but it's fun anyway
I thought the B&W 600 series sounded like crap. I really liked the sound of their 703's though. Very similar to the M60's.

I'd love to hear your thoughts if you could hear them side-by-side.

When I was shopping around months ago, I believe I compared the 700 series (703's I think) to what I have now, the awesome M60's.....I would say the detail and accuracy was very similar, however, the price was not....When I noticed the price tag on one of the 703's my first thought, was wow, they are a little higher than the m60's...then the salesman said that is just for ONE speaker, I about fell over. At that point it was a none issue to me, don't get me wrong, I really liked the looks and sound of B&W. My brother in-law owns a nice recording studio and B&W is all he uses. But recently he came over and listened to my Axiom setup, and was VERY VERY impressed. He is tossing around the idea of ordering some 80's for himself...

I listened to Axiom, B&W, Paradigm, NHT, Polk, and Klipsch on various receivers, primarily Elite, Denon, and Yamaha.

Below is what I ended up with, and could not be any happier...
