I currently have 22s,vp100,qs4s and a home built sub powered by a qsc amp and running from an onkyo 797. I just graduated college in december and have a job and hence, money! I plan on getting 80s,vp150 and 4 x qs8s and the ep600 in about 6 months. But first I want to get amps because I will be eventually going seperates and I just plain want to purchase some amps. I was torn between the bryston, parasound, and aragons and after listeing to them all decided on the parasound halos. Now heres my real questions, Should I get the A21 to power the 80s alone and the A52 to power the rest or would it be better to get the A51 to power the 80s, vp 150 and side surrounds and then the A23 to power the back pair. My room is 16 x 26, carpeted and dedicated to listening and theater. Thanks for the input, dave.
If there are no other variables...and we continue down this path of money is not as much of an object...I'd vote for the A51 to power the 80s (biwired of course), VP150, and side surrounds. And then use the A23 to power the rear surrounds.
From what I've read, you might want to get more "directional" speakers for the rears. QS8's on the L&R surrounds, maybe M3's or even use your M22's for the rear L&R speakers. I'm hoping someone else will follow this up. I'm simply referring to posts I've seen here and elsewhere on the subject. As a matter of fact, I thing there was a thread about M22's as rears posted just yesterday.

Remember when using a robust powered sub, most of the power is handled by it, not your amp. Bass frequencies take by far the most power, and your sub shoulders that burden.

If you ever observe an amp with power meters, with efficient speakers (like the M60/M80) the needles barely move if bass is handled by a sub.
joema it seems the powered sub handling most of the bass theory works for virtually any problem. lol
