I posted this question to the Stereo forum since I'm mainly interested in a 2-channel system, but it also applies here ...
I live near Atlanta and would like to hear M60's or M80's before ordering.
I am also considering Klipsch RF-5's and maybe Paradigm Reference Studio 60's. I heard B&W 604's, which sounded good with classical and jazz cds, but the vocals seemed way too loud to me on electric blues and rock. Another speaker I've only read about is Swan. I'd really rather not order M60's without hearing them. Anyone know where in Georgia I might be able to give them a listen? So far only one possible lead but that person hasn't posted since January, so he's probably unavailable. Thanks.
You mean squirrelyz? Your right that he hasn't posted since 1/29/05. Sending him a personal message probably won't help. Have you tried emailing him from his homepage? If that doesn't work send a note to Amie at axiom. She might be able to contact him for you.

Good luck,
Michael
danjo,

A single post is all that is required. Everyone crawls all over the Axiom board, so it will be seen. If you take a look here , you will see that ther eis an opportunity for an audition in Georia, but I don't know how close it is to you.

Suggest you drop an email to or call Amie. She does pretty well with hooking people up. Good luck - the speakers are excellent.
Ha Ray. Beat you by one minute.
Also keep in mind you have like 30 days to try them in your home, and Axiom ships them to you 2nd Day FedEx free shipping, pretty nice deal I would also recommend ordering from their Factory Outlet to get the additional 10% off.

Excellent! 10% off is good.
Ya'll are doing a bang-up job convincing me to just take the
plunge and get the M60's. Do ya'll get some commission or
kickback on sales? Or is this like an Amway thing? (josh)
I'm certainly leaning towards getting the M60's, even though
my wife said, "Towers in the living room? Are you crazy?"
WWCLD? (What would Christopher Lowell do?)

Thanks again for the advice.
Amway good one...

It is my understanding that if you talke someone into Axioms, and they mention your name at the time of order, Axiom will cut you a check for the referral, I can't remember the % but it is a good deal. Without looking at a map, isn't Atlanta in the northern part of Georgia? I wonder if there is anybody in the adjoining states, might be worth the road trip.

I was in your same boat 6-8 months ago, I auditioned B&W, Paradigm, NHT, and a few others locally, but was unable to find anybody close. For me the chance, was worth it, I love these Axioms. Right now everything is up in the living room, and my wife is not very happy either, just because the Mansfield Beech does not match our upstairs trim. I am planning on building my basement around these speakers.

The mudder guys will be texturing tomorrow, I'm getting pretty excited to get my new HT done...

Randy

Commission? Nahhh...not me anyway. I just love my babies..err...Axioms. So...DO IT....DO IT
I emailed Brent at Axiom and was informed that should I wish to return my Axioms the freight for the system would be apx $130. That is for 60's, 150, 8s, and EP500. It's well worth that just to hear them in my living room. BUT, no way am I sending them back!!!!
dan,

I live in Atlanta but I don't have 60's & I am on the road a good bit. You're welcome to come listen to my setup if you wish, if I am around.
