im asking myself, now i have a vp100 under my screen, who thing is better to put 2 center one above and one under the screen! and for the sound did is to hard for the reciever to split the center output in 2.did im gona lost some power from the center outputin the reciever! the way to do that if i do it !. thank you.

Having centers above and below will help center dialog on the screen. If your current center is too localized, two center channels should help.

Your Denon should handle two 100s in parallel. Two 8 ohm becoming a 4 ohm load.

I have setup a VP150 above the TV (Omnimount shelf) and one VP100 below the TV. By doing this I did enhanced centering the dialogue on the TV screen. The use of the double-center does put the "center player" in DVD concerts / DVD-A right in the TV screen, which is nice also for 5.1 HDTV broadcast.

I have the 2 speakers paralleled (total 3.42ohm), and two VP100 will make a 4ohm load. Be careful when splitting the signal, as you have to make sure that your receiver will handle 4ohm loads.

Using two centers, one above and one below the screen to "phantom-center" the dialog at the screen's center is an excellent idea, and one that we've been recommending at Axiom for some time now.

Whether or not you need to do it depends on the particular installation and the acoustics of your room as well as your seating distance.

If a single center speaker is physically too far away from the screen, it can produce an odd dislocation of the dialog at the speaker rather than at the screen. If the center is 2 feet or less away from the screen, I've found that my brain integrates the dialog with the actors on-screen (I use a 50-inch rear-projection set with an Omnimount shelf to support the VP150 on top of the set).

It's so variable that you have to try different locations for the center speaker in your particular room and see if one works well or not.

I also find that for *most* content it helps to look at how high your mains are relative to the screen when configuring the center channel. Most, but not all DVDs seem to mix dialog between the center and the mains, so (for example) if the midrange drivers on your mains are below the screen "center of mass" then putting the center channel above is probably the way to go.

This won't help with dialog tracks hard-mixed to the center channel, but I haven't noticed many of those.
