My new VP150 is going sit just below the TV rather than above it. (For now anyway) I noticed the speaker has a rather unique shape. I was thinking that if it sat upside down that it would have almost the perfect angle upward. Is there a reason to not do this? (ie. altered sound, damage, etc.)

By the way . . . I got my new M60's, VP150 and QS8's from the FO last Friday and love them so far. I haven't hooked the QS8's up yet, but the other's sound great.

Thanks,

Scott

I run mine upside down. Go for it!

Scott, Glad you are enjoying your purchase, I believe some of the members on this board have done exactly what you are considering. It shouldn't harm anything, try it and see how you like the sound. I thought of doing the same thing, but instead I put a couple furniture bumpers under the front of the speaker to give it a slight angle upward, (didn't want the axiom label upside down) and that worked great for me.

I know with the VP100, you can just flip the grill to get the logo right. You'd of course have to take out the tweeter(s) and flip them to get those logos right.

Ok, now I just realized I just had to turn the grill over.

That is exactly what I do to help aim the center towards the listeners ears. Otherwise, it would fire to low. Yep, Homedad, just flip the cover over.
