Will this amp push these speakers very well? I'm considering the M60's and I have been for the past 3 years,lol. I'm looking at going with the Outlaw 990 and either the 7025 or the 7125. I'm sure the 7125 would push them well but I was wondering do i really need 125 watts, more if 2 channel or would the smaller amp suffice? My room is roughly 14x20x8 and I'll be roughly 15 feet from the speakers. This is for 2 channel stereo as well as theater. Thanks in advance.

It is difficult to give you an absolute yes or no answer. You need to consider both the peak and average power requirements for your listening (SPL) level.

There was a previous thread, on this board, where the peak power requirement was found to be about 20-25 times the average power. If you like to listen to really loud music, then you may be better satisfied with the higher powered amp.

KW, presumably you mean the 7075. Your room size is about average and so is the sensitivity of the M60s. What is also important is how loud an average level you play at and how dynamic the program material is, i.e. how high above the average level the peaks are. For most uses the 7075 should be plenty, and if it wouldn't be it's unlikely that the 7125 would make enough of a difference. The difference in maximum output between 75 watts and 125 watts is only about 2.2dB, so if 75 watts allowed playing a brief peak at say 105dB, 125 watts would allow playing it at 107.2dB, not a very significant difference.

JohnK you are correct about the model # my bad. I have read many post here and there concerning peak power and such, but the post I read mostly were about Klipsch, and I wanted to hear it from some Axiom owners. So, now it looks as though I may be saving a little bit of money, for I dont listen at "reference" levels.

Kinda funny how I posted 7025 knowing it's a 7075.

If money is not extremely tight, I'd still go with the 7125. That may help to eliminate any future case of "upgrade-itis."

True True, but it seems as though I may be looking into what is needed than what I just want. If I dont get much response to this I may open another "subject". With a 14x20x8 room if I decided to go with the M22's would they fill the room, does any member use them as a main speaker setup in a room in the 2500 cubic ft range? While listening to movies I dont ever listen at reference "if I set my volume to where 75 is 75bd with sound meter", "wife is military" so we always live in townhouse/duplex/apartment style houses. Also in the past 6 year we have moved to 4 different places and most places had the size room I'm refering to in this subject, when we were in Italy I actually had a dedicated theater room that was 20x20 but that was an exception. I do like to listen to music and low soft ,clear music is always good, bass will be handled by a SVS PCU and of course theater is usually played no more than -10/-15 reference "75db" due to close quarter living. I guess this would go in lieu of me thinking of a 7075 Outlaw. Dont get me wrong, I like loud and when I can get away with it I put it wft.

Any help would be appreciated, just getting close to decision time after 3 years and I'm just wanting to do this right this time and not messing up like I did the 1st go around.
