I have a room that is 15ft by 15ft with the ceiling probably around 12 to 15 ft high. I currently have a pair of bookshelf Mirage M290's on stands, which are great, but I would like to go to a (possibly) floor standing model. I am not sure which of the three speakers models would be best for me. The models I'm thinking about are the M40ti's, the M50ti's and the M22ti's. I will not be using a sub. Should I even consider the M22ti's? I am using a 60 watt per channel Onkyo receiver for amplification. I listen to 95% music and 5% dvd/movies. I listen to mainly contemporary folk, classical, with some progressive rock mixed in. Just from what I have read so far, the M40 ti's sound like a good choice, but I'm not sure. Your advice would be appreciated. Thanks.

do you have a sub with these?

if so, get the M22's.

If you don't, get the M50's.

If you never plan on buying a sub (or anytime soon) then i would also recommend what Ravi has already.
The M50 will give you more bass extension over the M22s but it will also have a slightly more laid back upper end.

Here a link to some reviews in these forums that should help.

Good call Chess.

The M50's, like the M40's, have a more laid back mid and upper end.

The M60's are much like the M22's with a small, but good, sub.

The M50's are much like the M3's with more bass. The M40's shouldn't be on your list if you can afford m50's and m22's
