If you, like me, wonder how the hell younger bands can possibly eek out a living, read on.

Selling 600,000 units over a decade of work ju$t doe$n't cut it. And who can afford to make videos if you're not Beyonce?

In this weekend's Wall Street Journal was an article written by Damian Kulash, Jr., the front man of OKGo. He details how they've managed to do it and it's incredibly interesting.

I've lost the link, but go to WSJ.com and type in The New Rockstar Pardigm.

It's worth the read to learn how to support the artists you don't want to go away. You downloading savages, you!

That's a very interesting perspective on the state of the art. I always suspected Damian was pretty intelligent, but he's very eloquent as well. I wholeheartedly agree that music and musicians will outlast the music industry.

Here's the link.

Thanks, guys, that was a good read. I like that he considers success the freedom to pursue what they, as a band, want to do and not only as the bottom line.
