I have looked far and wide(mainly on the internet) for a good Ode to Joy record. I am looking for 2 things-a track with a great intstrumental rendition of Ode To Joy(not the version where the composer added his artistic flair). And the choir part(so far the only choir parts i have found have been too long, or not powerful). Or combined. I know this is kind of an odd request, but i am looking for a powerful piece i can play right after Carmina Burana. Also, i am looking for a piece that doesnt have the 5 minute chorus at the end. That part is the worst part of Ode To Joy

if someone has it, could u either send it to me(amrosent@uiuc.edu) or host it on kazaa? Or just tell me where to buy it?

I could have helped you last month, but I deleted all my mp3s like the RIAA told me to.

Hawk, I listen to classical only, and I could give you suggestions on both the Beethoven 9th and Carmina Burana, but my first suggestion would be to listen to them in their entirety, even the last 5 minutes of the Beethoven.
i listen to classical music also

i like carmina burana, it is probably my favorite piece to play on very loud

but ode to joy(i believe beethovens 9th-number 4) is 12 minutes long and the last 4 minutes is choral music that i dont like. so i was looking for a standalone-just the main theme to ode to joy(its not too long)

thanks though
