I have M22s, M2, Hsu sub and soon QS4s for my living room/kitchen.

I have Ascend 170s and a velodyne sub for my bedroom

My daughter rarely uses her boom box in her bedroom.

I have two very good headphones for outside and inside the house, connected to my IRiver

The final frontier? THE BATHROOM!

I have an old junkie cd player in there now - on the theory that anything in the bathroom will get ruined by all the humidity.

Is this correct?

When is Axiom going to come out with shower speakers?

Make sure you look into a bass transducer that attaches to the toilet bowl.

I saw at the local home center, a bathroom vanity/mirror/cabinet that had 5" car speakers mounted near the top with the lighting. Mounted to the bottom of the upper cabinet was a car AM/FM/CD deck with a power inverter hidden in the cabinet.

Kewl, but steep for $3500 CAD.

Talk about a bowel movement!

Sorry, this thread is an hour old and it is already in the toilet!

Actually, with metal cones, rubber surrounds, and vinyl-covered cabinets the speakers might actually be OK...

I would say first investment should be a big quiet exhaust fan (about $50 more than a cheap noisy fan) and then any Axiom speakers would probably be OK.

Alternatively, go for some of those "rock speakers" (built into rocks, not designed for rock music) that can sit out in the rain.

Panasonic fans are excellent, but can be difficult to find. They move a lot of air and are very quiet. Try an electrical supply house rather than a home center.

Space is at such a premium that I was considering in-ceiling speakers for the bathroom.

Very interesting topic. Please continue.

Actually with bathroom acoustics - even the old boombox sounds decent.

I am not sure I want to put in a new fan. But, it is possible - huh? I wonder what Alan or Ian would say.

maybe you can use marine speakers, they would probably hold up pretty good

Hmmm - maybe I will look into that.

I suppose the real issue is - I don't know what else to buy after the QS4s come. I don't know that I could use anything else. My life has no direction - no purpose.

I will have to learn how to stop being selfish and give some money away, maybe.

Don, you seem pretty-well set with components, but there're hundreds of CDs and DVDs waiting out there for your money.

if you have too much money, you can fill my oil tank one time-you would feel real good about yourself

Not too much money - but upgrade-itis.

I am sure I will find something worthwhile to do with my moeny.
