ok. i have to say that music, especially horns and piano sound fantastic. much more lively than with my old infinity center with a soft dome tweeter. funny, but the sibilance i used to experience seems to have disappeared, and i can only attribute this to the fact that i was trying to combine my m60's with a soft domed center, which just didn't blend well. it makes a world of difference having everything timber matched as well as driver matched. i just never expected this type of change. i will also say that the front sounds perfect...absolutely in tune across the front soundstage...which again i attribute to the same things..timber and driver matching.

the qs8's sound pretty darned good too, especially since i have them sitting on top of my old infinity towers for now, and one mid driver is basically covered up. no worries, the driver is not hitting anything, i checked and double checked. for now this seems to work.

oh ya, and YES i have TONS of speakers in my house for those of you who were wondering...lol. what can i say? it's a sickness i guess.

i must say, i am impressed with the vp100...i just wonder now if the vp150 would make any/much difference?
Ever thought about EBAY?
RE: the QS8s. That bottom driver doesn't need a lot of room. For awhile, temporarily, I had each of my QS8s sitting on 2 stacks of paperback books raising the speaker about 3 inches, and allowing the bottom driver to do it's thing. Worked great. Just prop them up with anything that will do the job, and that looks decent to you. One member (who shall remain nameless ) had his on soup cans, if I remember correctly. What was it that Ray had his propped up on? Anybody remember?
Pretty good for a "small" speaker?
Someone had them on hockey pucks too, I believe.

I use hockey pucks under the back of my VP150 to tilt it downward since it sits on top of my entertainment center, about 2ft above ear level.
Using hockey pucks eh Tim? You sound like a closet-Canadian. Did you buy those pucks in the US? I'm not sure how you put up with the blue glow coming out from under the speaker all the time?

Sorry bad joke, probably one most non-Canuckers won't pick up.

Please, let's not ever talk about the glowing blue puck again. I hated that thing. Remember when someone took a hard wrist/slapshot, you would see an orange/reddish star trail that would follow the puck? Lmao that was ridiculous...haha
Oh, so it was an actual hockey puck you were talking aboot! I thought you might have been talking about one of those blue urinal pucks.

I wouldn't want to place those under my center, I'm afraid that I might involuntarily whiz on my speaker ...rending it useless.

Sheesh! I mention hockey pucks and it turns into a pissing contest. J/K...J/K

LOL!

Your living room would certainly smell interesting.
That's funny! I use pucks to tilt my vp100 down slightly!
yeah, but do they last for 2,000 flushes??

YES!

It was really stunning to hear that difference. After my upgrade of VP100 to VP150 and was like night and day. So much clearer.

That was my impression with my recently acquired VP150 after having listened to my VP100 for over a year, I was very impressed right off from jump-street.

I connected the 150 with the 100 via parallel wiring and and am happy thus far with the combination.
You guys, this is doing nothing for my contentedness with my VP100...
Peter, you might want to see if there is anyone in your area that has the vp150 available for audition. Good luck...
