Hey,
I'm just wondering how long you guys had to wait after ordering before receiving your speaker? I'm curious since I'm looking to buy my receiver at about the same time that I order, but I would only have 14 days to return it in case it doesn't work, or I don't like it for some reason. Is there any possibility that I would have my speakers by that time? I'm looking at ordering the following:

2 - M22's
1 - VP100
2 - QS8's or QS4's (not quite sure yet)
1 - EP350

Finish would be the free High Gloss Cherry. It states on the free upgrade page that the speakers will be shipped in 4 weeks or less, but that's a fairly large range.

If you guys don't mind, please list the speakers you ordered, the finish you got, and how long it took from when you placed your order until it got to your door (you can include shipping time as well if you don't mind).

Thanks for the help.

Where are you getting the 14days figure for returns? In regards to special finishes, someone else will have to comment, or you might call Axiom. They have very good Customer Service, and will work with you.

Regular inventory arrives 2 days Fed Ex. Factory Outlet speakers usually arrive if you average all the dates stated for the speakers you order. I assume custom finishes are a little different animal. Either way, Axiom will work with you if your unsatisfied, which most likely won't happen. Another option would be to get a sample if your concerned about the finish. I'm sure the sound won't be an issue.

Sorry, I must have mixed that up a bit. I meant that I only have 14 days to return my 'receiver', not the speakers. I'm aware of Axiom's 30-Day money back guarantee.

I think the issue is the High Gloss Cherry finish. As Randy says, normally shipments are very fast, typically a few days from order to receipt unless there is a weekend in the way.

The High Gloss Cherry deal is relatively recent so only a few people have both ordered them *and* posted about them on the boards.

Suggest you phone Axiom -- they can probably give you a better idea of how long the order is likely to take. It obviously depends on when you order, so probably best to ask "if I order today how long will they take ?".

You're probably right about that being the right choice. Do you guys know if they're even open this long weekend? I called twice earlier today to ask, but the answering thing kept asking me for my name and number for them to get back to me after being on hold for only about 30 secs. I thought that was weird since they have such a good customer service rep, but it makes sense if they aren't open.

I believe after normal day hours, there is someone "oncall" that usually answers the phone, however, if they are on the phone it goes to the answering message. I believe they rotate who answers on a nightly basis. I once called during evening hours and left a message. Brent called me back within 10 minutes. Do not quote me on all of this, but I believe that is the setup. If you want to get someone in the office during the day, just give them a hollar during the day.

Well that's the weird thing. I tried twice around noon my time, which should be 2PM their time, so I thought someone should have answered one of the two times. Maybe there's only one or two people there on the weekends and they get backed up with phone calls and keep calling people back all day. Or else they aren't working this long weekend. Either way, it's a good excuse for not answering.

I'm sure there are only one or two people there on weekends, and even fewer on a long weekend, so it wouldn't take much to get pushed to the answering machine.

The other option is to shoot them an email if you won't be around for a return call.

The great thing about Axiom is that normally nobody wants to work weekends because they want to get up to cottage country... if you work at Axiom you just have to walk outside and presto! you're in the heart of cottage country only a few minutes from Lake of Bays

You guys keep referring to "long weekend" what the heck are you talking about? Is there some "Take Off Eh" holiday going on right now up in God's country?

hey jasonb
I got the hg cherry finish for my speakers. They were the m80's, vp150, qs8's and ep350. It took right at the 4 weeks to arrive. They send you an email when they are going to be shipped out. So you could go and buy the reciever when ya get that email. They look pretty good and on the back of the speakers they put on there specially made for you. So make sure you have your name right on there. could be interesting if you put something else.

Yeah, we do our Thanksgiving a bit earlier than you. Something to do with northern latitudes, earlier harvests, being really freaking cold in November, you know...

Our Thanksgiving is more of a harvest festival with less of the "Pilgrim" thing. It also has nothing to do with department stores, football or Christmas inventory buildup

There are two times of year you don't see wild turkeys around here... turkey season (April) and Thanksgiving.

OK, Thanksgiving is over and back to work. It was a pretty good weekend... smoked turkey, deep-fried turkey, and I even tossed a spiral ham in the masonry heater's oven and had a few people over myself.

I'm burning the grease out of the masonry heater now

the more I hear about your masonry oven I crave it! I have always loved the taste of smoke and fire on food such as pizza, steaks, turkey, ham...etc.
