I was just wondering how far from the wall you guys have your m60's? I have mine 6 inches from the wall right now and have experimented with 1-6 and don't really notice much of a difference.

I don't own m60's anymore, but when I did they were probably 6-8" from the back wall, similar to my current m80's. Make sure you don't have them the same distance from the side walls as the front walls for best results...

I know its not the same as the M60 but i have my M80's about 25" from the back wall

The rear ports of my M80s are 9" away from the rear wall.

I currently have mine about 2" away and have had them as far as 12" and have noticed much difference either, the bass gets a little louder the closer to the wall but only marginally.

Between 12" and 15" depending on the room -- further from the wall in smaller rooms. As everyone else said, closer = a bit more bass reinforcement, so you just move 'em in and out until it sounds the way you want. Sort of like tone controls but really inconvenient

Currently about a foot away from the wall with the speakers up in the loft, with the back wall maybe 35 feet away.
