As I went through the set-up process per the Sound & Vision Home Theatre Set-Up DVD, I came to realize that my Yamaha RXV630 only allows speaker time delay adjustment for the front and rear center speakers. My main speakers are 11 feet from the central listening position while my surround speakers are about seven feet. So four feet lies between me and audio bliss!? Seriously though, am I nit picking? Or should this be something of concern? Thanks.

I highly doubt this will make very much difference. I have this setting on my Denon for all my speakers, and when I change it, I cannot honestly say I can tell the difference.

Tonight, if I remember, I will try with a 4 foot change in the rear speakers and tell you if I can hear a difference!

I'll look forward to hearing the results if you get a chance to do that test. Thanks much.

hi Phil,

I gave it a try, but my receiver will not let me put my rear speakers at a greater distance than my mains/center.

sorry!
perhaps someone else can try this.
