I don't have that specific system but have all the speakers and have heard the EP350. It is a very clean/clear sounding system and the new EP350v3 is a great deal in the world of $700 subs. You could do a lot worse and would have to pay much more to get anything better.

It might do us a bit more good to know what size of area this is planned for and is it mostly for HT, music 50/50, etc.

I'm sorry, I will be moving in a new house at the end of next month. The roon size is approx 10 by 15. The ceiling is about 15ft high. My reciever is the onkyo sr705. I want to spend around 2500 on all the speakers. Any suggestions would be a great help for me. I'm kind of new to this ht. It will be 80%HT-TV. 20%music. Thanks to all

Keep in mind that you always get a 5% discount when you buy 5 or more items. Also, if you order from the Factory Outlet, as most of us have, you also get another 10%. This may help you get a little bigger speakers. \:\)

Who,

Will you be placing the front speakers across the 10' or 15' length?

C$2283 will get you Epic 60 350 from the FO. C$2572 will get you the Epic 80 350.

I also used to think that my system would be 80/20 HT/music. Once I started listening to a quality system, though, it's now more like 30/70. Who wants to watch TV when the world is filled with such beautiful sound?

I love my system for movies, music, and video games. I'd guess they all get equal time.

Yes i will be placing the speakers across the front of the room. Which gives better sound bookshelf or tower speakers.I want the best possible sound. for my HT.

The towers will give you the best possible sound.

patwho,

When I first started looking at Axiom about a month ago I had my mind set on the Epic Grand Master 350 setup, but as I browsed the forums, read reviews, and PM'd a few owners, my view changed. If I'm going to spend 2500 on a new speaker setup, why not spend 3500 and get a system where I won't have upgradeitis. If you don't have any symptoms of that maybe you will be OK, but the last thing you want is to order the speakers and then read all the reviews about everyone else loving their higher end system. I ended up purchasing the Epic 80/500 setup and I've had it for about a week now. Aside from running all that cable I have enjoyed every second of them! If you get a high end system like this, you should only need to buy it once and be set for many years; you may as well get the best one you can!

When you say across the front of the room, do you mean the 15 foot wall or the 10 foot wall? And how far away will you be sitting?

The towers give the better sound. But if you are sitting 6 feet away, the soundstage will be compromised. That's why I'm asking these questions.

I will be placing my speakers on the 10 foot wall.I will be sitting about 12 feet away form the tv/front speakers. Will my reciever handle the m80's speaker? I have a ONKYO SR 705.

Sure, your Onkyo should have no trouble at all.

I don't know how the Axiom floor-standers will sound in such a small room. Maybe someone that has experience with this can comment.
