I've got a pair of old Axiom AX-5s (Reference Monitors) that need some TLC. I bought them used and the dust caps to one of the subs, and both midranges were dented. As well, one of my foams has separated from its edge. Additionally, I might need some work on one of the rear subs...I'm still trying to figure out why I don't hear much from it.

Anyways, I'm looking for some speaker repair on a budget and I'm in Toronto. Any guesses how much this might cost or I should just forgo the repair and live with it? Anybody know of somewhere that can do some work for me without charging an arm and a leg? They still sound great...but obviously would sound better...

the dents in the caps will cause no performance problems, the seperation is a different matter.

Thanks for the tape trick. I did it and i'll live with it.

I guess I'll take them in to get looked at for the foam separation issue/sub.

Have you contacted Axiom? You can still get replacement drivers for some of their old models.
