I just bought the Epic Grand Master - 500 and a pair of FMS 16. If you guys could help me out I had a few questions about my setup.

1) For the stands what can I put in them to weight them down, I know that axiom has there own stand weights but I did not get them, is there anything else I can use?

2) My couch is right on the back wall, should I place the QS8 on the side or back of the wall?

3) Can I run my sub off the same power bar or should I plug it in else where?

4)I have a Onkyo TX-SR806 , and my T.V stand does not give it much room will a regular house fan blowing from the side help (Fan moves avg. amount of air). There is maby 1cm of space on top. I know I need more space but wife will not let me get another stand. She would say get a smaller Onkyo. And I don't want to do that.

I think that is most of them but I know one or two will come to me over the next day or 2. I placed my order yesterday and I hope it gets here on Friday (long weekend, don't want to wait).

Thanks everyone for your help, and thanks to Brent with my order it took a few days but thanks for calling me back and still remembering my order from the day before. I can't say anything yet about the speakers but if they are as good as the people that work at axiom I'm in for a big treat.

Graham, a few thoughts: 1)fill the stands with sand bags; 2)place the QS8s on the back wall about 3' above ear level and spread as widely as possible(they're still side surrounds), maybe to about a foot from the side walls; 3)sure, plugging it in at the same spot will make it less likely for a hum to appear because of a ground loop between different electrical locations;4)a regular fan would help a little, but the general idea isn't to blow air over the receiver but to have a fan located so as to suck air out of the vents more quickly. Does the 806 absolutely have to be crammed into this compartment? Can't it be placed somewhere higher up on the TV stand where it wouldn't be enclosed?

Congratulations, and enjoy the great sound.

Even though you are up against the back wall, I would experiment with the Qs8 position to see what works best for your rooms acoustics. You may find that having them on the sides near the back wall works better.
