Hello friends! I was wondering if I am gonna like the color I picked, which is light maple. As I was browsing some website the reviewer was saying that it looks like white washed. So right now that thing concerns me a little. Should I get Mansfield Beech or the Boston Cherry instead? HELP

I've had the Boston Cherry M22s for eight years and think they're quite attractive.

Edit: I note that Maple isn't shown now for the new v3s.

The light maple is not a true wood maple color it is more of a white washed oak IMO. There is a little too much grain for Maple and the color is more whiteish
This my old setup with the light maple on real maple wood:

That's odd, since Noreen said I was gonna get my speakers on V3 and I have chosen maple.

Maple looks nice to me, guess it is a matter of taste. \:\)

You can still get the Light Maple it can only be ordered via the custom shop, luckily it is still priced as a standard finish but now takes 10 days to produce.

I think Mansfield is on the way out...

Yeah, it's just the boston cherry and the black oak as standard finishes now.

See, Axiom even helps you with the hard decisions

Well I got lucky then. I ordered one day before changing to V3 and will receive the newer version and also ordered a color not considered as standard finishes no longer. LOL Couldn't be luckier. \:\)

I have high gloss cherry, because, well I admit it, I am a whore for something "custom."

My are the old black oak, because everything I own is black. But with this V3 talk, I'm thinking about starting to replace what I have, and finish my setup with high gloss piano black. Then they'll match my PS3, my TV, my receiver, my DVD player, and my equipment stand.

Vermont Maple. And HG Burled Walnut. And Mansfield Beech. And Black Oak.

I've got M22's in Boston Cherry, on-wall VP100 and M22's in Black Oak, and sub-woofer in Cinnamon Beech.

If I could re-do it, I'd get them all in Cinnamon Beech. It's a fairly neutral color (colour) that would go well with just about anything. It's a little more brown and a little less red than the on-line color (colour) sample shows.

Send that sub up here so I can take alook at the color for myself. ;\) Brown would go well in my place

That surprises me - I had understood that it was one of the most popular finishes, and it's always seemed like the colour "most likely to work" wherever you put it.

If I were buying my speakers again from scratch I probably would have gone with Mansfield Beech... at least until High Gloss Cherry was introduced ;\)

I've got mansfield beech all around except the center which is black oak. My dad has M3's in rosewood satin that are just stunning. If I lived here in Hawaii, I think I'd have a full set of rosewood speakers just to fit the rest of the wood theme here in the islands.

I’m with Chris everything in my room is black. And for the record a ninja suit works better. ;\)

Unlike Chris my next finish upgrade is going to be telescope flocking added to the edges and sides of the speakers that are picking up and reflecting light from the screen. I will turn this room into a black hole.

Cherry wood with chestnut stain with a semi gloss. Wish I had full gloss now. I may try applying my own coats on what are already beautiful speakers later. I'm gonna take new pics in new house soon, the ones on the gallery in old apartment don't do them justice. Plus I get to have a sub now! (sorry Axiom I think I'm going ED for a sub) \:\( If purple is a color you'd like on speakers the dark chestnut stain may be as close as you can get. BTW Ichigo, I think you'd like the content on my TV in my gallery pics ;\)

New Black all around.

My Fantasy Finish though... if I ever get to build / decorate a room around my home theatre, I'm getting High Gloss Burled Walnut.

That stuff is 70's-Porn-Star-Sexy! *bowm-chicka-wow-wow*

My dad paints everything with bedliner.
