As I am looking for a bedroom stereo system now, would the audiobytes be able to act as one?

the cost will definitely be cheaper than if I go out and buy a integrated amp + bookshelve speaker....

can the audiobyte able to receive signal from CD player or a DAC?

They will absolutely take signal (analog) from a CD player or DAC. I'm not certain they'll give you the volume you want, although I haven't taken my set past 10 o'clock or so on the dial, so there's a good 50-60% left on there.

How big a room is it?

Room size is 12' x 14'

from the image, I don't see L/R signal input for CD player or any digital input for DAC except the yellow RCA input. How should I connect the player or DAC to it?

Hi mpyw,

The yellow mini-jack input is a stereo analog input, so you'd need a stereo mini-plug to dual RCA left and right adapter. There is no digital input on the AudioByte amp.

Yes, you could use the Audiobyte amp/speakers/sub as a complete system in a room such as yours. We demo'd the earlier version of the system in a large suite at the Mirage some years ago and the system was impressive in what was a large living room in the suite.

Regards,
Alan
We have the Audiobytes in our kitchen area. It's connected to our family Mac Mini. You can see the white speakers on the L/R of the desk and the black sub under the desk.

Our area is much larger than yours but the Audiobytes are more than capable in our room.

And I must say, with the recent availability of Spotify, the speakers are getting a lot more use.

Michael, note that Alan said "speakers/sub". If you go with the Audiobytes it's strongly suggested that you include the companion EPZero sub. If you're not planning to use a sub(you didn't mention it)a somewhat larger bookshelf, such as the M3, would supply a more satisfying bass response. Combine this with an inexpensive receiver(for radio reception), and the cost should be quite reasonable.
