Hi. I'm very interested in purchasing the Epic Accent 125 system for my bedroom. I really like the size and looks. Just wondering about one thing while checking out the specs . . . The M0's lower frqz is given as 160hz and the EP125 sub's upper crossover is shown as 120hz. How sharp is the sub's frqz rolloff after the crossover and how quickly does the M0's lower frqz rolloff under 160hz?
Summary, is there a noticable "hole" in that 40hz frqz spectrum between the two speakers?
PS; Has anyone here purchased this set-up? What was your impression?

I know of only 2 'reviews' Alan's intial comments and one other by whom I can not recall (MichaelD perhaps) of the Accents and neither one mentioned a 'hole' in the sound. I believe the subs filter is actually able to reach up to 150hz.
Order them up and let us know, not many people run the Accents and if that sub doesn't cut it, you can always send it back and try one from another manufacturer.
The problem with checking out the specs is that the relevant one on the EP125v3 is outdated, and certainly should be corrected by Axiom. The variable 60Hz-120Hz low pass filter(not a full crossover)which previously was used has been replaced with a two-position 80Hz and 150Hz switch. The manual doesn't make this clear, but in addition to the low pass filter at 80Hz there may also be a filter at 150Hz, or the filter may be bypassed entirely and the EP150 allowed to roll off "naturally" above about 150Hz. In either case, if the 150Hz position is selected there should be a good blend with the M0s and this is no cause for concern.
The roll-off numbers are rather a moot point, but a sealed enclosure rolls off about 12dB/octave below the tuning frequency, and the low pass filters on subs typically roll off at 24dB/octave above the frequency set.
As JohnK mentioned, the specs on the EP125 were outdated. I have updated the cross-over to 80 & 150 Hz.
