I get a call from fedex my shipment has arrived. White van shows up, im super excited. Buddy says, heres you box, i say where is the other one,he looks at me stupidly. I now have to wait till friday and it might be on the next bus.If fedex cant get stuff here ,why take the order. I had some upgrades in mind but now i will be rethinking anymore purchases.I can get stuff shipped free from BC which is farther than edmonton and it gets here faster.I know it will come eventually but that is irrelevant, there is no excuse for pathetic service. I dont give a v8 a tuneup and leave 4 plugs out and tell my customer come back ina few days. I can order parts from edmonton at 12pm today and have them friday morning so being remote is not the issue.

Just unboxed the M80 and it has v3 drivers in it. Not what i ordered. Sheesh this is becoming a nightmare.

Back when I used to ship stuff for a large Industrial Dist. we used to mark stuff Box 1 of 3, 2 of 3, and 3 of 3. Axiom must not do that, not sure it would help anyway. smile

I'm sorry I'm just getting to the message boards now and the factory is closed for the day. I'll find out what we can at our end as soon as I can in the morning Richard. My apologies for the troubles!

Hopefully Axiom can make this nightmare turn into a sweet dream

So i have my One M80 running with an hpm900 on the other side. They sound so close i cant tell them apart. This makes me happy. i love my HPM's.

I had a set of these back in the day, HPM 1500.

Loved them.

Yup i remember them. iwas 16 when i got mine and i just could not afford those. Pioneer made some good sound reproducers in the day.It was actually the 1100's i lusted after

That was a super tweeter.

Here are my 80's Pioneers....

Posted By: RickF Re: The saga continues - 12/16/11 01:08 AM
That's a funny looking tweeter on top of that speaker Randy. wink

Here's the Pioneers I had from back in the day, mid 70's CS922a. Not mine in the picture but a reference picture...

The 922's sounded really nice paired with a Pioneer SX-1050 120w receiver that I also had...

I'd love to have another SX-1050, that was really a nice unit.

Nice! smile

I wonder if audio manufacturers will go retro with the cabinetry like the auto manufacturers have done with muscle cars.
Posted By: RickF Re: The saga continues - 12/16/11 01:27 AM
That would be nice Jason, the wood case and brushed finish they used back then was really a nice touch. I was just looking online and read that a refurbished Pioneer SX-1050 was going for $799, which makes me somewhat sick because I think I sold mine at a garage sale for 20 or 30 bucks ... I have kicked myself in the behind many times since then for doing that.

What really sucks is that right now I'm tempted to buy one at a higher price just to have one.

Oh well.

amazing how many of us rocked out pioneer speakers around here. Still have my SA 7800 amp, SR303 reverb , Pl600 turntable, and my tuner and equalizer. Should see my other speaker tomorrow i hope then all will be well in the world lol

I had a receiver very similar to that until I got my H/K AVR525.

Posted By: legivens Re: The saga continues - 12/16/11 07:09 PM
Man, that stinks. I sure hope I don't have the same issue. I have 7 speakers being delivered today supposedly. I hope all get here. I've already unhooked things.
Posted By: Gr8_White_North Re: The saga continues - 12/16/11 07:11 PM
i talked to brent and apparently mine should have been sent air,but there was a foul up.Im sure you will be fine. I have a history of things going bad when i want them . Some kind of sick lesson lol
Posted By: MarkSJohnson Re: The saga continues - 12/16/11 07:12 PM
I'm not sure why FedEx delivered one speaker and not the other still...two days later.

I'm guessing it has to do with your location and the rush of the holiday season.

I know that doesn't help your frustration....
Posted By: Amie Re: The saga continues - 12/16/11 07:32 PM
Noreen has been working the Fedex lines non-stop since she called you yesterday morning - we're all so sorry this has not worked out better! Especially on the holidays. The last thing we heard from our FedEx rep - about 20 minutes ago - was that in the notes field on the account it says the speakers are on the vehicle for delivery today. Our rep has been trying to reach a driver to confirm but hasn't had any luck. Please believe me when I say we're trying hard at this end! And we honestly are very sorry for the problem.

Hmm , well i called the local bus depot and the guy there said he was keeping his eye open when they processed freight this morning and there was no sign of it. The bus comes here a 3:40 in the AM .Fedex was suppose to trace it when i called on wednesday, and greyhound told fedex it would be here friday for sure. All ive had from fedex and greyhound are excuses and lies.Every time i look at the lonely speaker i get mad, hope that doesnt last too long after i have them both. Im not sure what part of pair these guys dont seem to grasp. They were sent as a pair. The delivery guy on wednesday said this happens all the time. After 15years in the yukon ,knowing full well how long shipping takes and i ebay alot so im patient when stuff comes from the states, this is by far the worst expereience ive ever had.
Posted By: Gr8_White_North Re: The saga continues - 12/16/11 09:02 PM
This is ridiculous. Brent called me and said fedex told him that my speaker is here in town and gave me a tracking number. I call the depot they say its not here, never has been here and he doesnt know where it is. His computer says it shipped out on the 8th from edmonton so where the hell is it.It was obviously dropped at the wrong place and no one is doing a thing about finding it.
Posted By: SBrown Re: The saga continues - 12/17/11 12:22 AM
That sucks big time, does Greyhound come in everyday? Maybe they will come by Saturday....hopefully.
Posted By: Gr8_White_North Re: The saga continues - 12/17/11 12:26 AM
no,they come again sunday 3am so monday, but brent spent all afternoon trying to resolve this with nothing but the the runaround. aparently 12 days before considered lost. There is a place called whitecourt in alberta, we have had stuff go there by mistake before at work, bout the only thing i can think of. Brent is goin to send one out air on monday, cause i think this thing is MIA. They left edmonton together,so do the math.

Whitecourt YK Whitehorse AB I can see the resemblence crazy

I lived in Whitecourt when I ws 8, it has changed a little since then.

Sorry about your misfortune.
Posted By: Gr8_White_North Re: The saga continues - 12/17/11 02:37 PM
i called whitecourt myself.no dice but worth a shot. Had a parcel last week that went to 1003 fir street when clearly marked 1103 fir street. Busy time of the year, mistakes are made but how do you lose a something the size of an m80.
