one more question:

whats the consensus on the distance that is reported for the DSP subwoofers? My denon always reports a much greater distance to the sub then there actual is when running the auto setup. It was explained to me that this is from the DSP circuitry?

In any case, should I leave it as it, enter the actualy physical distance, or something else?

Thanks again.
I don't have any experience with this but is it possible that the distance is not in a straight line but is the sum of a reflection?
David, the auto-calibration setting using the Audyssey measurements isn't literally a distance measurement, but is a time measurement of the delay before the signal reached the microphone from the sub. Besides the actual physical distance delay(about 1 millisecond per 1.1' distance), filters and/or DSP processing in the sub also create delays of varying amounts. So, a difference in the "distance" result from the actual physical distance is no cause for concern, and should be left as was measured.
