Any complaints as far as a purchase from the outlet store? Same quality, any problems experienced?
How much savings would you consider between A stock or B stock. The difference between the two, for me, is 75.00.
Suggestions.
I've had my M22s for over a year now. I bought them from the outlet store and there wasn't a detectable flaw and they have performed flawlessly.
If what you want is available in the outlet GRAB it! I've bought my QS8's, M22's, VP150 and M60's all from the outlet. I never found a flaw on anything but the M60's, and it was TINY. You'd really have to look hard to find it.
DAVEY, i used to have some pictures of the "flaws" on my QS8s that i grabbed from the Outlet but i have since taken them down.
I only ever found one small area near the back where the vinyl finish looked a little 'garbled'.
Other than that, the FO VP150 looked absolutely perfect.
I think someone made an error tossing that one into the FO bin.
It really is a great deal for 10% (or so) off the price.
I don't think it was a mistake, like I said, all of my "outlet" pieces have been awesome. They've just got some crazy anal retentive QA.
My VP150 is outlet and it has a amall black mark, possibly sharpie, on the side, very small and only visible when looking for it. My M22s are from the outlet and I have not yet found any blemish, they seem perfect!
So A savings of 75.00 would warrant a choice for the outlet pieces? I was concerned with quality in sound, not as much as PURE aesthetics.
Seriously, get items off the factory outlet if you can. Minor cosmetic flaws if any, and no way would Axiom send out a factory outlet item that had a defect in the sound (but if this did happen, I am sure they would take care of it).
Yes, I bought my VP150 and QS8s from the F.O. Maybe I've not been careful or anal enough, but so far I've been unable to find a supposed "cosmetic blemish" on any of them.
could just be a marketing ploy by axiom. only a few items listed on the fo page, but if you ask, items are in stock at the outlet at 10% off. the A stock pile to the B stock pile. make a sale even if it's for 10% less. a sale at 90% of the asking price is better than no sale at 100% of the asking price. we do it here if the final result is a sale.

My assumption is that Axiom puts all items returned under the 30-day trial policy to the F.O., even if they cannot find a cosmetic flaw.
Anyone ever bought just one item from the outlet, like purchasing just a single QS8 to finish off a 6.1 system? Will axiom do this?
Yes they will. When I asked about my QS8's Amie offered to sell a single unit.
tempting me so much more now. I see that QS8's are sitting there, but I am trying to save up a little extra and get rid of the m22ti's and buy a pair of M60's.
Someone needs to buy all those QS8's from the outlet so they quit yelling my name while I sleep!
I have one on order to give a grand total of four QS8. So that is one less for you to worry about. HA-HA..
See, thats not working though.
Cause now I know you ordered one, and now I want one even more!
AND you have FOUR, so me having three isnt that bad at all!
Jump on the outlet stuff, to my understanding they're just cosmetic flaws. I bought my M60s, VP150, QS8s, and M3s all from the outlet. I found a small scratch on the back of one of the M3s and a tiny cut in the vinyl on the bottom edge of an M60. I can't figure out why the rest were 'rejected'. Same sound, less cash :-)
speaking of outlets...I saw that Crutchfield's Scratch and Dent has the Denon 2200 for $509 w/ free shipping. If you have one of those $20 crutchfield coupons (first time buyers only) then it's $489 for a 2200. Not bad.
I had to opt for the Goodguys.com for $599 minus 10% because I already bought stuff from Crutchfield years ago.
You can get the Denon DVD-2900 for about $600 occasionally from their authorized b-stock sellers. There's a good chance that some point down the road a 2900 may be in my setup.
What's the major difference between the 2900 and the 2200?
Build quality and price seem to be the only differences I can find. And height of the unit. They seem to have almost the same exact specs all the way around. Very confusing to me.

to see the differences. On avs, other members claim the video is the same but the 2900 has better DACs. One difference w/ the video that i saw was w/ 4:3 zoom. I'm planning on a 42" plasma (EDTV). Does anyone know what this would mean in this case?
