My current setup:
HK AVR525 Receiver, Axiom M22TI Front, QS8 Surrond, VP150 Center, and SVS PCI 20-39 for Sub.
I have an extra Adcom 2 channels 300 Watts Amplifier laying around. My question is where would be the optimal place to put the Adcom Amp: Front, Rear, or Center. Or should I leave my setup the way it is and not add the Adcom Amp at all?
Welcome!
First of all, what is your ratio for music / movies? I would definitely use the Adcom to drive the 22's in front. Not so much for movies, but for listening to music in 2.1. Or the other option is to sell the Adcom, and use the cash to trade up to the M60's!
I would sell the Adcom to me cheap so I can power my M60 fronts! Seriously, use the Adcom to power your M-22's. Another option is to use it to power your sub.

TO, unless your listening room is huge(unlikely if you got M22s)the 525 should have plenty of power for your setup. You could use the Adcom for the fronts(not the sub, which is self-powered)but it wouldn't be really necessary. Selling might be a good idea if you got a good price.
another option to think about is the 525's A/B zone option. It would be best to power the second zone/area with an amp, so the 5.1 sound in the main listening area is not lessened
that is if you eventually plan on using the zone 2 option
Thanks for the tips guy. I really don't want to sell the Adcom in case I wanted to upgrade to M60 or M80 in the future. Since the M22 are relative small speakers 70 Watts from AVR525 should suffice my need. But the Adcom does have a A/B zone option which I maybe able to utitlize.
Ah ah ah! Remember, the bigger speakers do not necessarily need more power! In the case of the M80s, they are more efficient than Axiom's other speakers, and therefore will play louder with LESS power.
What exactly is the adcom able to do with zone 2?
I was under the impression that the reciever handled A/B zone 2 stuff, and that an extra amp powers the other zone.
