Im Running M80ti's with a Parasound HCA-855a.
I need it just a little bit louder.
Can anyone suggest a product that could increase the volume
that would be cheaper than buying a whole new amplifier ? Thanks much.
How about moving your seat closer to the mains? That'll increase the volume at no cost to you. Or, perhaps, you could go to a local drugstore and get one of those kits to clean the wax out of your ears. That could be the problem and will cost under $5. If neither of those two work, I think you're going to need a more powerful amp.
How large is your room? If your amp is unable to drive the M80s to deafening levels, then it must be pretty large!
Have you made sure the volume on the back of your amp is turned all the way up? Also what pre-amp or receiver are you using to feed the signal to your amp?
LOL! Good one, Tony! I was thinking the same thing.
Headphones? Add a sub?
WW, as some of the other replies have indicated, the Parasound should be able to drive the M80s to a deafening level. Something might be wrong with your adjustments of the pre and amp. Study your owner's manuals carefully.
