hey,
i did a search here and couldn't find anything so sorry if it's been brought up recently. i was just wondering what others are running with their M22s. i have a HK525 and running an hsu stf-2. i'm currently running a x-over of 80Hz but it looks as though the M22 drops off significantly just before that. just curious.....

thanks,
dave

I have the HK AVR520 running M22's, QS4's and an STF-2 calibrated with a RadioShack SPL Meter and the Sound&Vision disc. My crossover is 80Hz.

I have my M22 running off of the HK 3480 stereo receiver and tried to crossed them at 80hz via SVS PB1's 12/octave highpass, I did not like the way they sounded at all. Without any crossover the M22ti rolled off sharply at around 50hz and I much prefer feeding them full range sound, try setting them as Large on your HK525, and lowpass your STF2 at around 60 to 80hz and see what you like best, mine sounded best with M22ti running full range, and SVS PB1 lowpass at 65~70hz, the sub virtually disappeared in my room and can't be localize, and all the LFE seems to come from the main M22ti :-)

80hz was where I always had mine.
