i was at a cd store in hong kong and they had an xrCD section.

has anyone listened to any of these CD's? hear a difference? it seems to be just like HDCD in terms of technical specs

I have purchased a # of them. They are way over priced and the content is very limited,at the maximum 50 min.The sound is a bit better then other redbook cd,s,but not worth the highway robbery price.If your really looking for improved sound try sacd,s.

The money you save by not purchasing XRCD's(they cost anywhere from $23-$30 inthe USA)can be used to purchase a sacd player.Sony has come out with a # of models starting at around $129 that are supposed to be pretty good.Good luck.
