I'm seriously considering upgrading my HT speakers with Axioms (M3Ti/VP100/QS4) as a 40th birthday present to myself. I'll use my existing Harman Kardon subwoofer. Was wondering if anyone had driven these speakers with an HK AVR125 receiver. Will it have enough juice to give me good response across the mid and upper ranges - assuming my sub can fill out the lows? I appreciate any and all advice.
the H/K's are commonly believed to under-cut their wattage abilities. so, if the 125 claims to be putting out only 40-50 wpc, it is most likely putting out 60-70. i have pushed my M60's with a AVR130, and it performed very well.

i think your 125 will have more than enough headroom to make the M3's/VP100/QS4's shine. oh, and HAPPY BIRTHDAY!!!

Thanks, bigjohn. Turning 40 may not be so bad after all!
I powered M22's, VP150,QS4's, and a Dayton 10" sub with my HK AVR 130. The 130 handled it beautifully, I'm sure you will be very happy with the setup. Good luck and welcome to the forum.
Yep - the HK 125 should do fine.

As far as turning 40 goes, Jack has ties older than you are!!!
Used to use M2is and a VP100 with an AVR125, works fine.
