Have been designing a new equipment rack, going to replace the roll out type as it is causing issues with the marble floor tile. Also the new center speaker is a differant size than the 80, so that will be corrected. Seems brotherbob (Rick) is going to be using a Middle Atlantic rack, whcih is the same company I was going to use. I'm thinking of using two of the SRSR-4-24 units in the new design, since 90% of the equipment is rack mountable, this will give me the needed space for additional equipment that needs to be installed.
If any forum memebrs have used a similar rack system, any and all input would be appreciated.

When I saw this post topic, I though you were talking about a new spinning train system in the DC area.

I'll have to second that, Peter!

You have a point now that I re-read it.

Dennis, I was originally going with the AvRak rotating rack but decided that the Middle Atlantic rack would be the way to go after researching and speaking with several different folks. It's easier to install, has more options and the shelves can be adjusted to fit any equipment application.

My Rotel dealer sells them so I'm giving him the measurements of each piece of equipment, he'll put the rack together and I'll do the install. I'm going with the power strip and the duel cooling fans to be vented into the room.

Rick -
The above rack was changed to the AXS-27, actually will be two of them, one on each side of the center speaker with the Sony 60" above them. Decided to go with this style verses the rotating one, this one has the 48.5" extension, so will allow easy access to the rear side of the rack.
MA has some nice opions available as well, one being the adapters to allow installing any non-rack component to a rack mount, so if things work out, the new equipment rack should look good and function very well over the current one.

I thought of the Inclined Plane in Johnstown, PA when I saw the subject. It's close to where Ray3 grew up. Maybe he can quit caressing that musty old "Terrible Towel" long enough to tell us about it.
