I have been researching seperate amplifiers for quite some time now. I noticed some posts, on another board, that brand new 3 channel Monster Amps (MPA 3250) were selling cheap on EBAY. I went and looked. Sure enough, the $3000 amps were advertised for about $1100.

That is a giant discount. I'm from the old school that professes that if something seems too good to be true, it is too good to be true.

Anyone know what is going on?

I don't understand why more 3 channel amps aren't on the market.

Perhaps Monster is just trying to sell a $500 amp

A quick Google shows prices vary from about $1700 - $3,000, thats quit a range. I also saw a lot of 3 channel amps perhaps I need to get out more.

I have to say that Monster could offer the best product in the world at a bargain price and I probably would not be interested. It just p*sses me off how badly they screw* new people to this hobby with their claims and cable prices.

*with the help of BestBuy and Futile Shop staff I might add.

While I agree with your comments, I am not sure that they describe what is going on. Monster does have a "rip-off" reputation to those that know and understand what they are selling. They have also had some pretty shady displays at some of the conventions.

Guess that nobody else is watching these on ebay?
