Does anybody know how to rip DVDaudio or SACD disc's? What software and hardware do you need?
Thanks
Paul
Neither can be done. DVD-Audio usually have DD or DTS that you can rip as DVD-Video and SACD usually have CD layer than can be copied. But neither formats are allowing manufacturer to let you rip. The copyright agreement (if you ever read that stuff) is different from DVDa/SACD than for CD.
You might be able to do DVD-A with DVD audio extractor into a waveform then into an MP3 but I have no idea on SACD. I am unaware of any PC cd-writers that read SACD or do they? I do not own any so I don't really know other than it isn't usually listed in the specs.
DVD-A multch hi-res cannot be read by PC DVD-Players. Sometimes there are 2 channels, 24-bits tracks that be read from DVD-Video players (I have 2 of them like that that have "flip sides").
